Ali started playing the violin at the age of 5 and her percussion career started shortly after by playing the triangle in the violin orchestra; she didn’t look back. Ali continued to play through her high school years and came in the top ten ‘Music 1’ students in the NSW HSC.

Ali then continued her music studies in 2005 at the Conservatorium of Music, Sydney. She maintained a distinction average whilst also performing in a community jazz band ‘Sussudio’ and with the Chatswood Musical Society. John chanced upon Ali whilst she was teaching a student playing in the Warringah Youth Brass in 2006 and Ali has been playing with WCB ever since.

She is currently completing a Bachelor of Arts and Sciences at The University of Sydney majoring in Physics and Philosophy.
